Friday is the day the fog lifts. Teams stop hedging, the questionable tags either turn into actives or outs, and for about six hours the injury wire tells you more than the board does. That's the day I'm in today: nothing locked, nothing played, just the information that decides whether a number I'm watching is worth watching at all.

Here's what's on my radar heading into Sunday.

What I'm Eyeing

  1. Ravens @ Bills. Lamar Jackson carries no injury designation and is expected back after missing time with an ankle issue. That's the headline. The quieter story is Buffalo listing three starters questionable: DJ Moore, right tackle Spencer Brown, and nickel Dee Alford. A healthy Jackson against a line and secondary running on contingency plans is the kind of mismatch that moves a number late. What turns it into a play: Buffalo's final status check closer to kickoff. If two of three sit, this spot gets a lot more interesting fast.
  1. Chiefs @ Broncos. Rashee Rice is officially back from the hamstring injury that's kept him out. Denver, meanwhile, ruled out running back RJ Harvey for the same game. Kansas City adds a weapon in the same week Denver loses a piece of its backfield. That's a net shift worth tracking into Saturday's final word on who absorbs Harvey's touches.
  1. Eagles @ Commanders. Saquon Barkley didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, was limited Friday, and still carries no designation into Sunday night. That's a good sign for Philadelphia's ground game, but DeVonta Smith is out again. A full workload back can offset a missing number one receiver on the scoreboard. It can't fully replace him in the red zone. Worth watching how Philly's offense leans once the lights come on.
  1. Vikings @ Lions. Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown are both off the injury report and good to go. A fully healthy Lions offense against a division rival is the kind of thing that should matter to a total, and I want to see whether the market treats it that way once it opens.
  1. Cardinals @ Cowboys. Rookie back Jeremiyah Love is set to return after missing two weeks with an ankle injury. A backfield getting its spark plug back two days before kickoff is a tell worth filing, even if it's early.

One more thing on the wire today that isn't tied to a Sunday kickoff: Carolina made a defensive coordinator change, moving on from Ejiro Evero in favor of Todd Wash with ten games left. No live spot there yet, the Panthers aren't on this week's board, but it's a storyline I'm filing for later.

The one I lean on

If you made me pick the single spot I keep circling back to, it's Ravens-Bills. A starting quarterback coming off an ankle injury with no game designation, against a team listing three starters as questionable, is the kind of setup that either resolves boring or resolves loud. I'm not there yet. This is a lean, not a play, and I want Buffalo's final injury word before I say more.

Nothing here has cleared a real number. That's the honest state of the board on a Friday: good information, no edge confirmed yet. I'll keep digging through the weekend.

That's today's radar. You know where to find me if you want to talk through any of it before kickoff. BOL.
