Indianapolis Colts odds movement is the real story out of London this morning, and it's an odd one. The spread has gone from Colts +1.5 to Colts -4.5 at FanDuel, a six point swing that walks straight through the three, while the moneyline moved the opposite direction, from -308 at the open down to -194. When a board's two prices on the same team disagree that loudly, one of them was never sharp to begin with.
My read is that the moneyline opener was the stale piece. The prediction venues have Indianapolis at 68 percent on Kalshi and 66 on Polymarket, which lines up almost exactly with -194 and not even close to -308. Washington sits at +190 on ESPN BET with 37 and 35 percent at the same two venues. The market and the crowd agree on where this game lives now. They just took a few hours to get there.
The spread is where the money actually spoke. Six points through the key number of 3 is a serious correction, and the tell is on the other side: Washington is still posted at +4.5, with the juice trimmed from -105 to -103 at Lowvig. Nobody is fighting to push it to +5. The number found its level and the books are shaving vig to keep both sides honest.
The total did its own quiet work. Opened 49.5 and sits at 46.5 with both sides within a cent of each other. A clean three point drop with no lean left in it is the kind of move that comes from real agreement, not shading, and that one I trust more than the side.
Honest caveat: I don't have the inactives sheet in front of me, and a six point spread move usually has a name attached. The London preview work doesn't name one. Until it does, I'm treating this as a bad opener getting corrected rather than news the market saw first.
From the almanac: the league has been doing this since October 2007, when the Giants beat the Dolphins 13-10 in the Wembley mud, the first regular season NFL game played outside North America. Tottenham is a nicer field. Same body-clock problem for a 9:30 a.m. ET kick.
What I'm watching: whether 46.5 holds into kickoff or the under keeps grinding, and whether Washington +4.5 ever stretches to +5. If it doesn't, the board thinks it's done moving.
Entertainment with variance, 21 and up where it's legal. Small edges over and over, no heroics.
