Semifinal Sunday handed me exactly one price I can argue with and three things I have to wait on. Both Game 1s are played and in the books. Atlanta Dream odds today come attached to an asterisk roughly the size of a hand brace, and until that asterisk resolves, I am looking and not touching.

Let me put the board truth up front so nobody has to dig for it: nothing on my sheet cleared into a play this morning. There is one lean, and it is thin enough that I will show you exactly how thin.

Atlanta Dream odds today: what I'm eyeing before Game 2

  1. Allisha Gray's left hand. The reporting out of the semifinal opener says the Dream All-Star was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game with a left hand injury. That is all anybody has right now, and I am not going to dress up a one-line injury note as a diagnosis. What turns this into a play: a confirmed status before Wednesday. A hand injury to a guard who creates her own shot is the kind of thing a market prices late and prices hard, in either direction.
  1. New York Liberty at Atlanta Dream, Wednesday, 7:30 ET. My fair on the Dream moneyline is -162. The number offered is -160. That is roughly half a percent of edge, which in plain English means my number and the market's number are basically holding hands. A lean, nothing more. What turns it into a play: a materially better price on a Dream side that still has Gray, or a New York price that has not adjusted once her status is actually known.
  1. Janelle Salaun and the Valkyries bench. Unanimous Sixth Player of the Year, 12.7 points a game, best of any reserve in the league. Unanimous is the word that stuck with me. Nobody in that voting room blinked. What I am tracking is whether a playoff rotation shortens her minutes or leans on them harder, because second-unit scoring is where total-based numbers in a tight series get decided. What turns it into a play: a Golden State number that still prices them like the new kid.
  1. The second series. I do not have the full detail in front of me yet, and I am not going to invent texture to fill a slot. Tracking, quietly.

One note with no board attached: UCLA's Lena Bilic will miss the 2026-27 season with an ACL tear. The defending national champions lose a real piece, and that is just a hard one. Wishing her a clean recovery.

The one I lean on most

Atlanta at -160. Lean, not a play, and I want that word doing real work. Half a percent of edge is not an edge you build a day around. It is a flag that says my model and the market agree, which is usually a reason to sit still rather than reach. If Gray's status comes back clean and that price has not tightened, the conversation changes. If it comes back the other way, I want New York, and I want it before everyone else gets the same note.

What I am watching next: the Dream's injury report ahead of Wednesday, and whether the Valkyries' bench minutes hold up under playoff rotations.

Keep it 21 and up where it is legal, keep it entertainment, and remember variance does not care how good the read was. You know where to find me if you want to talk through any of it.
