Friday afternoon is when the league actually talks. Not in press conferences, in inactive lists. And this friday's list reads less like a routine injury report and more like a roster teardown for one team that happens to be flying across an ocean to play.

I don't have a single graded play on the board yet today. What I have is a stack of health news that's going to decide which numbers move and which ones hold. Here's what's on my radar before kickoff.

Eagles vs. Jaguars Injury Report

The Eagles ruled out five players for Sunday's 9:30 am ET kickoff against Jacksonville in London: Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, new starting center Drew Kendall, safety Marcus Epps, and Hollywood Brown. That's not a tweak to a depth chart, that's half a starting offense and a key safety, with a center making his first real start doing it overseas on an early body clock. Add in the week's other wrinkle, Andy Dalton getting released after a costly pick and a demotion, and this is a team with real instability stacking up at the worst possible moment. What turns this from a watch into a play: how far the number actually moves once books finish pricing five absences against an early international window, not just three of them.

Ravens at Falcons. Lamar Jackson is out, Tyler Huntley starts Sunday night. Backup-QB games have a known discount, fewer explosive plays, lower pace, tighter totals. What would make me look twice: if the total moves less than that history usually demands.

Vikings at Saints. Justin Jefferson (ankle) and Jordan Addison (hamstring) are both questionable. If either sits, Minnesota's passing game shrinks to one read in a hurry. I want Saturday's final word before I touch this one.

Chargers at Broncos. Rashawn Slater is headed to injured reserve after ankle surgery, and the Chargers now have three starting offensive linemen out. That's a protection problem against a Denver front, and it's the kind of news that should show up in sack-rate pricing, not just the spread.

Bears at Packers. Kyle Monangai is out and Caleb Williams flipped to questionable after a limited Friday practice. A QB status that moves this late in the week can swing a number more than people think.

The One I'm Leaning On

If I had to pick one, it's Eagles-Jaguars. Five starters out for a game across the Atlantic, at an hour most of the country is still asleep for, is exactly the kind of friday news that should move a line hard. I want to see if the market actually catches up to it by Saturday, or if the number is still soft. A lean, not a play, nothing's cleared yet.

checked the almanac: the first regular-season NFL game ever played in London was 2007, Dolphins over Giants, 13-10, at Wembley. The league's been doing early kickoffs and early injury news ever since.

What I'm watching next: Saturday's final injury designations out of Minneapolis and Philadelphia, and whether either line actually reflects what the practice reports are telling us. The math says wait for that before anything's real. You know where to find me when it is.
