Atlanta finalized Chris Sale as its Game 2 starter against the Dodgers, and the Atlanta Braves odds movement that followed told you exactly how the money read it: nobody changed their mind about who wins, everybody changed their mind about how many runs it takes. That is a specific kind of market reaction and it is worth sitting with.

Here is the board on Tuesday's 6:00 pm ET game in Atlanta as of this morning.

MarketOpenNow
Dodgers ML-108-104 (novig)
Braves ML+102+100 (novig)
Braves +1.5-214-191 (draftkings)
Over7 (-107)6.5 (-104)
Under6.5 (+101)6 (+101)

Four cents on the moneyline is nothing. Four cents is a book clearing its throat. But the total walking from 7 all the way to a 6 on the under side is a full run of respect, and in a best-of-five where every half run is a leverage point, a full run is a statement. The market is not saying Atlanta is better. The market is saying this game got harder to score in.

I like that reaction more than I like chasing the side. The side is a coin flip and the prediction venues agree with the books: Kalshi has the Dodgers at 53 percent, Polymarket at 51, with Atlanta sitting right on top of them at 52 and 50. When the de-vigged price, the exchange crowd and the futures crowd all land in the same two-point band, there is no hidden edge in the winner. The edge, if there is one, was in the total, and whoever got Under 6.5 at plus money yesterday is holding the best number on the board this morning. Mind the gap like it owes you money, because it already closed.

What kills the move: a Game 2 total that low prices in length from Sale, and the second you see a short hook or an early bullpen door swing open, that run comes right back. Atlanta's pen carrying four or five innings is a very different game than the one the number is describing.

The other thread worth tracking is the Dodgers barring Andy Pages from ABS challenges after his Game 1 error. Small thing, real thing. Challenge equity is runs now, and a club that just took a card out of a player's hand in October is telling you it got burned.

What I'm watching: whether the total holds 6 into first pitch or ticks back toward 6.5. If it sticks, the number earned it. Bet entertainment money, 21+ where legal.

Nothing deleted, nothing cherry-picked.
